Hospital Stream
Overview
Charter Australia's Study and Work Program – Hospital Care Stream is an intensive 17-week course designed for those seeking a career in Australia’s acute care sector, including hospitals. This program combines Nursing English, a nationally recognised qualification in acute care, and Job Assistance Support, ensuring graduates are fully qualified and job-ready.
Through our Job Assist Program, we connect students with hospitals for employment as nursing assistants, providing a direct pathway into the healthcare workforce.
This stream comprises of following courses:
English for Healthcare and Nursing + Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
Career Opportunities
Graduates from the course will be qualified to work as a:
- Health service assistant
- Personal care assistant
- Hospital orderly
- Nurses assistant
- Patient support assistant

Entry Requirements
There are no prerequisites or corequisites that are applicable to the units of competency selected within this course. For Charter Australia’s minimum entry requirements, please visit Entry Requirements page.
Program Duration
- 17 weeks of training/assessment including mandatory work placement and intensive healthcare english (criteria applies)
- up to 36 weeks of paid work after graduation
