A Traineeship allows you to gain a nationally recognized qualification of Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care by combining employment and training. Intake Dates
Charter Australia adopts a rolling enrolment model. Domestic students have the flexibility to enrol in any week when a new unit of competency commences. International students, on the other hand, are able to enrol at the start of each school term. Please refer to the Term Dates for further information.
If you choose the self-paced delivery model, you can start at any time throughout the year. A personalised study schedule will be developed to suit your needs.

Delivery Mode
Students are offered multiple delivery options to complete the CHC30121 - Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care course.
1. In-Class (North Sydney Main Campus)
A blended learning mode combining face-to-face classroom sessions, online self-paced study, and work placement.Students can choose to attend 2 or 4 days per week, offering flexibility to accelerate their learning and graduation.

- Mon, Tue, Wed & Thu, accelerated class 9:30am-3:00pm
Suitable for both domestic and international students.
The 4-day-per-week accelerated class allows students to complete the course within 17 weeks and is ideal for Working Holiday visa holders.
2. Live Online Class
A blended learning mode combining live online classes, self-paced study, and work placement.
Students can choose to attend 2, 4 days or 3 evenings per week, offering flexibility to accelerate their learning and graduation.

- Wed & Thu, 9:30am-3:00pm
- Mon, Tue, Wed & Thu, accelerated class 9:30am-3:00pm
- Wed, Thu & Fri evening class, 5:00pm - 8:30pm

3. Self-Paced
- Flexible 12-month enrolment period — start anytime.
- Self-paced study via our online platform, combined with work placement.
- Suits most students, especially those in regional or remote areas.

4. Traineeship
- Learn on the job while completing self-paced study.
- Traineeships run for 1–2 years, either full-time or part-time.

Work Placement
For this qualification students must have completed at least 160 hours of work placement (Not applicable for traineeship enrolment).
Charter Australia organises work placements for our enrolled students in a regulated children’s education and care service.
Before undertaking any work placements in a regulated children’s education and care centre, students will be required, at their own cost, to undertake a:

- National Police Check
- Health screening & any necessary vaccinations including Covid-19 vaccination
- Child protection certificate
- First Aid and CPR Certification (Included in the study)
- Food handler certificate (Included in the study)
To attend work placement, students are required to wear Charter Australia’s uniform (included in the materials fees).
