Why do a Study and Work Program in Aged Care in Sydney, Australia?

The Aged Care Stream within Charter Australia’s Study & Work Program is a tailored, intensive 17-week pathway to employment in Australia’s aged care sector. You’ll complete English for Healthcare & Nursing alongside a CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support, gaining both the communication skills and the qualification you need to begin caring for ageing Australians. 

We support you every step of the way with a built-in Job Support Program, offering coaching, employer referrals, and job-ready workshops—designed to fast-track your transition into roles such as Assistant in Nursing, residential care worker, or home care provider.

In just 17 weeks, including 120 hours of mandatory work placement, you’ll emerge job-ready and well-connected.

FAQ about the Study and Work Program Aged Care Stream

Entry Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 4.5. Charter Australia's English Placement Test may be required upon application.

Not yet met the English entry requirements?

If you have not yet met the English language entry level for your chosen program, consider enroling in our Online Foundation English for Study & Work course. This course is designed to help you build the language skills needed to succeed in the Study and Work Program all streams.

What is the Program Duration?
  • 17 weeks of training/assessment including mandatory work placement and intensive healthcare English (criteria applies)
