Our Job Support Program
Overview
Charter Australia offers students access to a free Job Support Program designed to help them successfully transition into the Australian workforce, particularly within the healthcare, early childhood, and community care services sectors.
The program equips students with practical, job-ready skills. From navigating the local job market and preparing tailored applications to crafting strong, Australian-standard resumes and building confidence for interviews. In some cases, host organisations involved in Charter work placements may invite students to do an interview, creating pathways to extended contracts or employment opportunities.
The Job Support Program includes two interactive, in-person workshops focused on Resume Building and Interview Preparation.

Build the confidence to perform well in face-to-face interviews, whether you’re applying for roles in Australia or overseas. Our workshop focuses on interview strategies and expectations specific to today’s healthcare industry, helping you present yourself as the ideal candidate and increase your chances of success.
Job Support 1-to 1 Consultations
Students can book a personalised 10-minute consultation to receive targeted support with their placement preparation. These sessions offer tailored advice on resumes, interview readiness, career pathways, and professional communication. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, clarify goals, and get feedback to help you feel confident and prepared.
I am currently working at a Home care/Aged care service. Can my work placement hours be replaced by my working hours?
Yes, but only if your job role includes:
- Facilitating the empowerment of older people
- Supporting independence and well-being for clients
- Providing support to people living with dementia
- Meeting personal support needs
Delivering home and community support services
Can I find my own place to do the work placement?
Yes, you can, but you must get approval from Charter Australia first. Please contact us before confirming.
What should I do if I have questions about my course or work placement?
You can contact your trainer or Work Placement Coordinator by email, or call us during business hours. Our student support staff are here to help.
