OET and English Language Requirements

OET is one of the English language tests accepted by many healthcare regulators and organisations. In Australia, applicants for health practitioner registration should always check current Ahpra, NMBA and relevant National Board English language requirements before booking an official English test or applying for registration.

For nursing registration purposes, students should check the current requirements directly with Ahpra and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

Important notes:

  • Charter Australia’s OET Preparation course is a preparation course only.
  • It does not replace the official OET test.
  • Official OET test booking, assessment and results are managed by OET.
  • English language requirements can change.
  • Students should always confirm current requirements before making registration or visa decisions.
