With flexible enrolment options, you can study for as little as 10 weeks or extend your learning up to a full year. Each module runs for two weeks, and you can enter the course at any module. This makes it easy to fit the course into your own plans.

Entry Requirements
To enrol in the IELTS Academic English Program, you should have a minimum English level of IELTS 4.5 or equivalent. If you are unsure of your current level, you can take our placement test to determine whether the course is right for you.
Core Learning
Learning Activities
- Develop the core skills every week: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
- Build up your language knowledge: vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation.
- Practise speaking every day, which includes conversations, role-plays and presentations.
- Take a mock test every fortnight, with individualised feedback.
- Enjoy the occasional excursion to enrich your learning experience.
Learning Materials
You will receive a textbook and also have access to our online learning portal, which provides a wide range of digital resources to support study both inside and outside the classroom. All learning materials are included in the course fees.
Levels
The course is offered at two levels: Pre-Advanced, targeting IELTS Band 6.0, and Advanced, targeting IELTS Band 7.0. This ensures that students can study at the level most appropriate to their current skills and future goals.
Delivery Mode
Classes are delivered face-to-face, with 20 hours of instruction per week. Students attend 5 hours per day, 4 days per week. The course can be taken for a minimum of 10 weeks and extended up to 52 weeks, depending on individual needs. With new intakes every two weeks and 40 teaching weeks per year (plus 12 weeks of breaks), you can choose the study schedule that works best for you.

Pathways to Further Studies
This course helps you prepare for the PTE test, which is conducted externally. An average PTE score of 50 can help you gain entry into a wide range of vocational and tertiary education courses. An average score of 66 can help you gain entry into many university courses.
