A Proud Partnership with Booroongen Djugun College
Charter Australia is excited to announce a partnership with Booroongen Djugun, which aims to deliver more education and work opportunities for students in Australia and Internationally.
Charter Australia CEO Ming Chen, met with Gary Morris OAM, Booroongen Djugun CEO and Co-Founder, along with Drew Roberts, Booroongen Djugun Executive Manager - Training Services, on September 5 2023, at the Kempsey based training, education and care facility to officiate the partnership.
Ms Chen received a tour through the college, its residential care facilities, and community centres. She was also introduced to the managers and staff, and got the opportunity to also talk with the residents. “I was impressed with everything I saw at Booroongen Djugun, and thrilled to enter in this strategic partnership in cultural competency training for aged care students”.
With a strong alignment in values, Booroongen Djugun College brings invaluable cultural enrichment alongside high quality education, that honours the rich traditional and cultural heritage of the traditional landowners that we work and study on.
Together, we have created a collaborative approach, with Charter Australia delivering the qualification, and Booroongen Djugun engaging students in cultural enrichment programs, that come together with a special Graduation Ceremony in Sydney’s beautiful Centennial Park. We look forward to our graduates of this partnership creating rewarding careers through a deeper understanding of Australia’s culture and diversity.
