Employer Engagement Officer

 

We’re looking for a proactive, relationship-driven Employer Engagement Officer to lead employer engagement, coordinate student work placements and facilitate our Job Support Program.

 

In this role, you will play a key part in connecting students with industry, supporting their job readiness, and ensuring placements are delivered smoothly, compliantly, and on time. You’ll work closely with employers, students, trainers, and internal teams to drive strong employment outcomes and high satisfaction across all stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing host employers
  • Identify and secure new host employers for work placements
  • Grow and maintain the employer database
  • Prepare students administratively and practically for placement
  • Match and schedule students with approved host employers
  • Support students and employers at placement commencement
  • Monitor placement progress and troubleshoot issues promptly
  • Manage placement changes and ensure timely completion of required hours
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date placement records
  • Strengthen employer and student satisfaction
  • Contribute to improved employment outcomes for graduates
  • Facilitate fortnightly job-ready workshops (resume writing, interview preparation)
  • Provide one-on-one coaching to students
  • Track and report on employment outcomes and program performance
  • Maintain accurate student and employer records
  • Prepare reports for Management Review Meetings

Qualifications & Experience

  • Completed secondary education (tertiary qualification desirable)
  • Experience in employer engagement, recruitment, student services, workforce development, or education administration
  • Experience in an RTO or CRICOS environment highly regarded
  • Understanding of education compliance requirements (desirable)
  • Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot (advantageous)
  • Experience using aXcelerate (desirable, but not essential)
