Refund Procedures for SWP Students
If Charter Australia ceases to provide a course Charter Australia will offer the student either an alternate place at Charter Australia or at another provider at no extra cost or will refund the student’s unused fees within fourteen days. If the student accepts an alternate place with Charter Australia the student will be issued a new Letter of Offer to complete the acceptance.
The application fee is non-refundable. Due to limited places being available a non-refundable $500 reservation fee is payable on acceptance of the Letter of Offer.
Visa refusal
If a student fails to commence their course due to their Australian visa application being refused 95% of all fees paid will be refunded (rejection letter from the immigration department is required). For example, if the student has paid $8,300 in total, $7,885 will be refunded.
Withdraw
If a student withdraws from a course 28 days or more before the course start date, and the student’s visa application has been granted, 70% of all tuition fees paid will be refunded.
If a student withdraws from a course in less than 28 days before the course start date, and the student’s visa application has been granted, 50% of all tuition fees paid will be refunded.
NO REFUND will be made to any student who withdraws after the commencement of the course or during the course unless the student can provide a medical certificate or show evidence of extreme personal hardship.
Deferral
If a student asks if they can defer the course 28 days or more before the course start date no additional fees will apply.
If a student asks if they can defer the course less than 28 days before the course start date a $200 fee will apply.
The full amount of the tuition fee will be payable by any student who asks for a deferral after the course commencement date, whether or not the student has commenced the course, unless the student can provide a medical certificate or show evidence of extreme personal hardship.
Course fees will be not refunded under the following circumstances:
- where a student’s enrolment is terminated for failure to comply with Charter Australia’s policies and procedures or with the requirements of their Australian Visa
- where a student does not commence the course on the scheduled start date (i.e. does not attend and has not arranged with us for a late start on health or compassionate grounds)
Refunds will be paid to the student, agent or third party from whom the original payment was received.
Where a refund is approved Charter Australia will make payment of the refund within fourteen days of the receipt of the application for the refund.
Any request for a refund of any fees already paid must be made in writing to Charter Australia by using the Refund Request Form.
