It's that wonderful time of year again, Christmas! And as a Charter Australia student, there is so much for you to enjoy while studying with us. The city of Sydney comes alive during the Summer holiday season, with everything from traditional Christmas lunches by the harbour to magical lights and plenty of carolling. So, if you want to make the most out of the Christmas festivities this year, be sure to read on!

Martin Place Christmas Tree

Charter Australia students and their friends can enjoy the magic of Sydney's Christmas by exploring the city's festive landmarks. From November onwards, one of the grandest Christmas trees awaits at the historic Queen Victoria Building.

Take a leisurely stroll through Martin Place to witness a rainbow of colours and decorative lights every 15 minutes from 8 pm to midnight. Charter students can shop for handmade Christmas gifts at the markets or create lasting memories at Santa's Workshop Photo Booth.

Christmas at the Cathedral

In the heart of December, Charter Australia students can join the festivities at St Mary's Cathedral. Experience the Christmas cheer as the Cathedral's famous glass-stained windows light up with a kaleidoscope of colours, accompanied by joy-filled music and digital animations.

Enjoy a range of markets, food trucks, and on-site stalls. It is the perfect opportunity to share stories of peace, love, and goodwill with friends during this beloved Sydney tradition.

Carols in the Domain

Join the biggest Christmas party with your fellow Charter friends at Carols in the Domain, Australia's grand celebration near Sydney's iconic Harbour and Royal Botanic Gardens.

Enjoy performances by Australia's biggest stars, including Ruva Ngwenya, The Wiggles, Mahalia Barnes, Dami Im, Big T, and more.

When: Saturday, 16 December, 11am-11pm

Where: The Domain, Sydney

Cost: From $20 –$200 depending on seating

The Grounds of Alexandria Lights Up

Explore the festive transformation at The Grounds of Alexandria with your Charter friends. Capture Instagrammable moments against the gingerbread house-inspired backdrop. Indulge in a delicious meal from the special menu, creating lasting memories amidst joyful activities.

The Grounds is not just a place for delicious treats; it is the perfect spot to effortlessly share the magic of the season with friends.

Christmas Wonderlanes at The Rocks

Grab your friends and enjoy the holiday season at The Rocks. Immerse yourselves in the festive atmosphere, explore Wonderlanes together, and make it a joyful celebration in the heart of Sydney. A must do during your time here!

Moonlight Cinema

Finish off the festivities by adding Christmas movies under the stars to your December itinerary at Moonlight Cinema in Centennial Park. A wonderful opportunity for you and your friends to get into the festive spirit!
