My teacher is very enthusiastic and considerate, very patient to teach and lead, making classes enjoyable and easy to understand. Through the Certificate III in Individual Support, you can understand the needs of the elderly. In the future, when you get older, you can understand which places need special attention.

This course makes think differently about my life, giving me more empathy and how to make yourself more meaningful when you are young.

Our teacher is like a friend and it does not feel like the teacher is high and the student is in the lower position.

In the work placement I can operate the machine to help the patient. The teacher will lead the way, showing how to do it step by step. This makes me feel very good and confident when doing work.

I choose Charter because the price is reasonable and fair, there will be practical operation in class, and they can find an institution to do work placement. I can also easily find a Chinese speaker among the staff to help me, which makes me feel more at ease.

INCREDIBLE — that’s how I describe my time with Charter Australia and the nursing facilities I had my placement in. The best part was the people I got to meet. I had a lot of opportunities to share and hear stories from people with different background and cultures and this experience had expanded my perspective in a whole new level. Of course, I faced a lot of challenges because I don’t have any background in the health industry, add to that, my course was fast track, so I had to double my effort to keep up with everyone. With that said, even for a short time, my experience in providing individual support made me genuinely happy knowing that I made a difference in someone else’s life in the littlest way I can. Although I am working in a different field, the lessons I learnt will always be with me.

I participated in the General English and Certificate III in Individual Support courses at Charter Australia. Before going to Australia, I had graduated from a four-year university course in Japan. I decided that I would go to Australia after working in a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for five years in Japan.

When I started class, I was anxious and worried about the English requirements. “Will I able to keep up with the class?”. “Will I be able to graduate?”. The students around me were very experienced and I remembered that I was trying to study as much as I could to keep up with teachers as well as other students.

Every teacher was kind and nice. They taught me plenty of things, such as lifestyle in Sydney, how to get a job, and how to create a nice resume. I really appreciate all the teachers who were so helpful and friendly all the time.

I met many nurses here. In other schools, you must go far away from the city just to work, and you even pay a large amount for school fees, and additional fees for General English Classes. However, Charter Australia had reasonable fees, and was able to introduce me to a workplace for free.

I strongly recommend that if you want to make use of your nursing qualification in Australia and you have a Working Holiday Visa, Charter Australia will be a great school for you.

The teachers made me not only immersed in the joyful atmosphere of class, but also gained a lot of knowledge and improvement of English ability. The Certificate III in Individual Support course allows me to find work more easily than others. This course also includes 120 hours of internships. I don’t need to go out and find out through the school. I feel very helpful. I can learn how to use the auxiliary tools, changing sheets without moving the patient, how to write a medical record, and recording patient status during the work placement, those are very helpful.
